Join CSPD’s Learning Outcomes team for a practical parent session focused on simple, realistic ways families can support learning at home, from primary through to secondary school.
You’ll hear practical ideas around:
- study and homework routines
- helping children retain information
- reading and learning habits
- understanding some of the teaching approaches used in today’s CSPD classrooms
We’ll also briefly unpack the “why” behind some of the changes happening in schools and explain how parents and schools can work together to support student success.
Whether your child is in primary or secondary school, this session will provide practical takeaways you can start using at home straight away.

YEAR 10 LIFE SCIENCE PASIFIKA DESIGN WORKSHOP On Tuesday, 3rd March our Year 10 Life Science students took part in a cultural textiles workshop led by Francis, our Pacific Liaison Officer. The workshop explored the traditional Samoan art of Siapo (tapa cloth). Students learned about the process of making tapa from mulberry bark and its cultural importance across Pacific communities. Francis shared how these textiles are used in ceremonies, clothing, gifts and cultural storytelling. Ms Clements, Francis and the Life Science students also explored how elements and principles of design such as colour, texture, repetition, contrast and balance are used in Siapo patterns to communicate identity, community and cultural meaning. While creating their own collaborative artwork, some students shared stories about their culture and heritage, while others took the opportunity to be present in the moment, enjoy the Pasifika music and take time to decompress and reflect. This workshop connects to the unit Year 10 were studying, “Designed for Living: Food, Culture and Textiles,” where students explore how design can express culture, identity and purpose. PROJECT COMPASSION 2026 SCHOOLS LAUNCH On Thursday, 12 February, five of our Year 10 FIAT students attended the CSPD led Project Compassion launch. The day involved learning more about what Project Compassion is about and this year’s theme, Unite Against Poverty. It also explored one of the focus stories for 2026, Sisilia’s story from Tanzania, which was introduced during our Ash Wednesday Liturgy. This was a great opportunity for our FIAT students to engage with other schools and share ideas about how they are fundraising within their communities. #stclaresrepresent #praisegodbyyourlife

OPENING SCHOOL LITURGY In Week 1 we gathered as a school community to celebrate our Opening School Liturgy, marking the beginning of a new school year. It was a beautiful and meaningful celebration where we came together in prayer, reflection and gratitude as we asked for God's blessing upon our students, staff and wider school community. A special part of our celebration was the Water Blessing, a meaningful reminder of the importance of water as a source of life and a symbol of renewal. 700+ Unite for Project Compassion Big Water Walk
More than 700 students and staff from 23 schools across Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese (CSPD) came together for Caritas Australia’s Big Water Walk in support of Project Compassion. Beginning at Parramatta Park, students carried buckets of water along a 4km route, gaining a glimpse of the daily journey faced by people in developing communities, especially women and children, in search of clean water.
