Learning at St Clare's
St Clare's is a place where curiosity, imagination and love of learning thrive through working together to provide the most effective, engaging and challenging learning experiences for students.
As one of the 80 Catholic schools in the Diocese of Parramatta, we’re working together to transform learning for students in Greater Western Sydney. This means reimagining and refreshing learning and teaching for today’s world and today’s learners.
The purpose and promise of a Catholic education is to inspire each learner - student, teacher and family - to discover a meaningful and flourishing life.
Our Faith Journey
St Clare's is a great place for students to grow in faith and learning. We value each student as an individual and share the values of the Gospel to help them discover the hope that is within and to experience a meaningful and flourishing life.
Beyond the Classroom
We believe it is important for students to pursue interests to find what they are passionate about. Our school gives them exposure to a range of exciting opportunities to unlock their creative potential, develop a talent or follow a passion.
Sport is a valued part of a school’s curriculum, contributing to the development of the whole child by providing a vehicle for social, physical, emotional and moral learning. Participation, enjoyment and skill development are the cornerstones of school sport. Representative pathways are also available through the Parramatta Secondary Schools Sports Council.
Student Chromebook Program
At St Clare’s we value the critical role technology plays in supporting learning and teaching and strive to provide access to appropriate technologies.
All Year 7, Year 10 and newly enrolled students will be provided with a Chromebook Device as part of our Student Chromebook Program. The cost is included in the school fees.
We strive to help students in their senior school journey by allowing them to match their hopes and dreams with their talents and strengths.
St Clare’s offers careers advice to support students with career guidance, education and information.
Creative and Performing Arts
St Clare’s is partnered with CAPTIVATE, the creative and performing arts program for Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese.
CAPTIVATE provides learning and performance opportunities for students and connects them with Australia’s leading creative arts professionals and their wealth of experience and networks.
St Clare's library is a centre of learning that provides a wealth of multimedia resources for all students. Our students use the library service for both learning and recreation purposes.
Parents as Partners
Strong partnerships between home, parish and school support students to grow in faith and learning. We recognise parents and carers as each student’s most influential, primary and essential educators.
