In March we celebrated Harmony Day at St Clare's Catholic High School. Harmony Day is an attempt to acknowledge the contributions of multicultural communities to Australian society.
Harmony Day aims to start a conversation about heritage, culture and community. The event coincides with the United Nations' International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination.

SEDA SPORTS INFORMATION SESSION Thank you Michael Basan from SEDA Sports for visiting St Clare's on Thursday and speaking with students who are interested in a Sports and Business career. SEDA programs provide industry-based dual diploma qualifications with the opportunity to study in a practical, hands-on learning environment, and gain real experience working alongside industry professionals. PALM SUNDAY / CLARE LITURGY In our liturgy in this term, we contemplated two parallel narratives. The first was Palm Sunday, the day that remembers and celebrates Jesus’ Triumphal Entry into Jerusalem - a day in which, according to scripture, was a day of joy for all those around Jesus but, for Jesus himself, it was a display of courage and enduring strength, and enduring love as he entered the city of Jerusalem, knowing he would die. The second narrative was St Clare’s choice to leave her family to live a religious life, following in the footsteps of St Francis. St Clare acted on this decision on Palm Sunday, drawing parallels with Jesus’ courage in his entry into Jerusalem and demonstrating her own by dedicating her life to God. Throughout the liturgy, we explored Jesus’ and St Clare’s examples of courage. These are not flashy or dramatic examples, but rather a demonstration of courage in steadfastness, deliberateness and conviction. We wish our community a Happy Easter. #stclaresrepresent #praisegodbyyourlife

MASTER BUILDERS ASSOCIATION - INFORMATION SESSION Students recently attended an engaging information session hosted by the Master Builders Association of NSW (Master Builders), the leading industry body for the building and construction sector in the state. As a Registered Training Organisation, Master Builders shared valuable insights into current industry trends, training opportunities, and pathways to nationally recognised qualifications and trade licences. YEAR 7 MEET AND GREET TOMORROW NIGHT! Tomorrow night we have our Year 7 Meet and Greet night. How quickly this term has flown by for our new Year 7 students. Take a look at these photos from their first day! As part of their welcoming liturgy, each Year 7 student contributed to a House Sunflower pot plant and was able to plant a seed to represent their growth this year. OPENING SCHOOL LITURGY AND WATER BLESSING At the beginning of this year we established our sacred space at our opening school liturgy. We were also reminded of the rich traditions of our school acknowledged the ancient traditions of the Dharug people. Aunty Nita and Aunty Sherlyann, as well as Mr John Spradbrow from the Jarara Cultural Centre joined us for our opening school liturgy and led us in a water blessing, which welcomed us to this land. #stclaresrepresent #praisegodbyyourlife
